Villa Vitality

Durrng our trip to Villa park, we continued our learning about how to lead a healthy lifestyle.  In our first session, with Clare, we looked at the effects of an unhealthy lifestyle have on our bodies. We then went into the Villa radio station to record our very own shows.  Keep an eye on this blog and maybe you will be able to hear them soon.

Our lunch was cooked by 5G, it was lovely. A healthy chicken and vegetable bake with a fruit salad dessert.

After lunch it was our turn in the kitchen and the youth gym.  We created Rainbow salad and Mediterranean couscous.  Ryan then talked to us about the importance of regular exercise.

We finished our day with a walk onto the pitch. A very exciting day, thanks to all at Villa Park.

Remembrance Day Service

At 11 O’clock today, 11th November 2013, we joined Stechford Primary School in remembrance of our service men and women who have fought in all wars.  We said prayers of thanks and observed a moment silence for thoughtful reflection. Year 6 laid a wreath on the Cenotaph which contained prayers from our school.

Mystery Mixture

Today we received a letter from the BSA...It contained our second mission and a mystery mixture.  We were asked to separate the mixture to retrieve the salt that had been collected from the Moon.

We discovered that it was a mixture of sand, salt and pepper. We had a great afternoon using the properties of each substance to mix and filter the solution.  Now the waiting begins as we wait for our salt water to evaporate to leave us with the Moon salt.  Keep an eye out for photo updates.
