As part of our Circle of Life Topic we took part in an African drumming Workshop.  After we completed our session we went back to class to complete more research and present our new learning.  Look for our video on our Youtube channel.

Albert Einstein's Birthday

As part of our Science and Engineering week we have celebrated Albert Einstein's 135th Birthday.
We researched his life and work and even dressed up as scientists on Friday.

Life Caravan

On Thursday 6th March 2014 Year 5 visited the Life Caravan.  Discussions about what is in side our body and the effects of what we choose to put inside us.  We talked about the effect of alcohol and cigarettes have on our body.  We have a responsibility to look after ourselves and our bodies and have the right to say NO.

Paper Mache Masks.

We are creating paper mache masks for our Cirlce of Life dance.  Our masks will help us to become more like the animal we are dancings as.

Lunch with our Parents

On 12th February we invited our parents and grandparents in to join us for lunch.  We had a very enjoyable meal.
